The University of Florida has a strong emphasis on graduate education and training of research fellows and junior clinical faculty. The University houses multiple T32 predoctoral and postdoctoral training grants, a K30 Advanced Clinical Research Program, a K12 Research Career Development Program, multiple GCRC related educational opportunities and offers a large number of courses and seminar series. Supporting the teaching mission, the Department of Pediatrics provides multiple research training opportunities for medical students, residents and fellows.
Pediatric Research Hub
The Pediatric Research Hub (PoRCH) is a research mentoring and coaching team dedicated to increasing the academic output of pediatric faculty, fellows, and residents in the Department of Pediatrics.
Women in Medicine & Science Resources (WIMS)
UF COM supports WIMS in numerous ways. WIMS is not a “group” that needs to be “joined”. The Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development supports a WIMS Advisory Board which plans programs and seminars, many of which are open to all COM faculty.
