Resident and fellow research

The University of Florida Department of Pediatrics’ residents and fellows accomplished remarkable research activity in 2012.

Achievements of the 70 housestaff members included 80 local presentations, 24 regional or national presentations and 19 peer-reviewed articles. Fellowship research activity accounted for 52, 22 and 16 of those, respectively. Residency research resulted in the remaining 28 local presentations, two regional or national presentations and four peer-reviewed articles.

There were also 17 housestaff members who acted as either Primary- or Co- Investigator on an IRB-approved research study, four of which stemmed from resident-driven research interests.

The department is proud of its highly qualified housestaff and the contributions they make to the field.

Congratulations on a job well done!
